About Urban Pest Control

Urban Pest Control Ltd. is a family owned and operated business, started by Bob Cameron and his wife Jacquie in 1981. Aaron (son) joined the business in 1998. The company is based in Georgetown and operates in the Southern Ontario region.

Bob has a BSc(Ag) in Entomology from the University of Guelph. Prior to starting his own business, he was the Technical and Training Director for Canada's largest pest control company where he gained a wide range of experience in all areas of pest management.

Over the years, Bob has served on numerous committees, including the NPMA and Copesan. He is a past Chairman of the Advisory Committee for the Environmental Pest Management Program at Sir Sandford Flemming College, Lindsay as well as a past director of the Ontario Mosquito Association. Bob is a past director, Conference Chairman and President of the Structural Pest Management Association of Ontario.

For many years, Bob was a structural license examiner for the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and worked with the OME on various projects over the years.

Through his involvement in training, Bob has given talks and conducted seminars across Canada. He continues to speak and write articles on various pest management topics.

Aaron has attended numerous pest management training seminars and conferences. He is fully licensed and continues to upgrade his knowledge through attendance at various training programs. Both Aaron and Bob are certified examiners for the Pesticide Technician Program with Landscape Ontario. Aaron has been working on developing alternate methods of control for some of our pest problems such as carpenter ants. He has also been working on developing and modifying equipment used for applying pesticides.

Over the years, Dr. Bug has been involved in field trial studies for the registration of new, more effective and safer pesticides. One of these involved participating in the original field trials for the development of a highly successful control program against cluster flies.

We have over 33 years of experience in the Pest Management Industry. Known to our customers as 'Dr. Bug', we offer a personalized quality service. We are fully licensed and insured and all our work is guaranteed. We are members of the Structural Pest Management Association of Ontario and the Ontario Entomological Society.
